City Pop Brewing was founded on a love and appreciation for great beer and Japan’s City Pop music. City Pop is characterized by its signature blend of AOR, R&B, jazz fusion, funk, boogie and disco that was inspired by the booming economy full of new video game technology, fancy cars and neon lights in urban areas in the late 70s and 80s.

The goal for their newest release was to design labels that were as buzzy, groovy and expressive as the genre itself. The design was inspired by color palettes of album covers from the era and lively patterns were used to match the energy of the music.
